- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Dear Asheboro Police Department I had an unusual and frightening, and potentially dangerous, experience last week. I cannot give many details, but I wanted to publicly thank Officer Perrin for responding promptly to the call. He was pleasant and professional, and diffused a tense situation calmly. - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I had a serious mental breakdown one night and the police were sent to assist. The officer was very rational and I believe he spoke from his personal experience. I was convinced to make the right decision and it was the officers handling of the situation that probably kept me from hurting myself. The next day, I saw him at my apartment complex and he returned a friendly acknowledgement when I shouted thanks from my apartment. This account is all I need to look highly on the division he serves. I will mention that at this posting I was treated very kindly and courteously by another officer who made me feel at ease.
